NOTARY OFFICE

The renovation of the notary office in the city center of Thessaloniki, Greece, focuses on harmonizing modern design with practical comfort, resulting in a welcoming space tailored for legal matters. The primary objective of the project is to cater to the daily requirements of a notary office, where concentration and mental clarity are paramount.
Adhering to a common design principle, the lower part of the walls is systematically zoned throughout the office. Wood is used as a material and is placed on the floor, in bookcases, and in places where their use needs to be emphasized, with the aim of warming up the space. The combination of marble and wood contributes overall to the creation of an imposing yet inviting and relaxing workplace.
The office layout is divided into two distinct spaces: the waiting area with employee desks and the conveyancer’s personal office featuring a dedicated meeting desk. This transition from a ‘public’ to a ‘private’ domain is accentuated by a wall acting as a separation element. This wall follows the zoning principle but introduces an additional element of wood cladding on the upper part, creating a captivating point of interest in the overall design concept.
For added convenience, a small kitchenette and two restrooms have been strategically incorporated to meet the diverse needs of office users. The extensive archive of contracts finds its home in custom wooden cabinets, which are thoughtfully dispersed throughout both the private office and the reception area.
Lighting plays a pivotal role in the office’s ambiance, with a harmonious blend of natural and artificial lighting. In the dropped ceilings, a combination of ceiling spots and magnetic rails is proposed. Spotlights in different sizes and light directions come to emphasize the geometry of the spaces and the movement in them. At the same time, hidden lighting with the use of linear LED is used in various places, creating an atmospheric lighting. Lighting not only creates a bright and pleasant atmosphere for the numerous daily visitors but also ensures a conducive environment for the employees who spend a significant portion of their daily lives in the workplace.
